Swaddly · Effective October 15, 2026

Swaddly is a feeding and diaper log for parents. This page explains what the app stores, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. In short: we keep only what the log needs, it's visible only to the people in your household, and there are no ads, no analytics and no selling of data.

Swaddly is run by Steve Hogdahl (“we”). Questions: support@swaddly.app.

What we store

Data Why
Your email address To sign you in (we email you a one-time code) and to show household members who's in the household.
Your household's log: babies' names, feeding reminder settings, and entries (feeds, diapers, pumps, baths, with their times and amounts) This is the app: it's shared with everyone in your household and synced between your phones.
Household settings (units, feeding types, bottle amounts, which events you track) So the app works the same way for everyone in the household.
Invites: the email address you invite, and who invited them To email the invite and let only that address join. Invites expire after 7 days and are deleted 30 days later.
A push token for each phone you're signed in on So one parent's entries update the other's phone and feed reminder. Removed when you sign out.
Crash reports (device model, system version, what the app was doing when it crashed) To fix crashes. They aren't linked to your account or email.

We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or usage analytics, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Some things stay only on your phone: the Face ID app lock setting, which baby is selected, and scheduled feed reminders.

Who can see it

  • The people in your household see your household's log and its members' email addresses. Nobody else does.
  • We use service providers to run the app: Google Firebase (sign-in, the database, push notifications, crash reports; data is stored in the United States) and Resend (sending sign-in codes and invites). They process data only to provide these services.
  • Purchases in the app (the one-time unlock and its free trial) are handled by Apple or Google. We don't receive your payment details; the app only asks your phone's store whether this store account owns the unlock.
  • We don't sell or rent your data or share it for advertising.
  • We may disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and household log: until you delete them.
  • Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Invites: deleted 30 days after they expire.
  • When the last member leaves a household, the household and its whole log are deleted.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings → Delete account, then confirm with the code we email you. Your account, email address and phones' push tokens are deleted. If someone else is in your household, they keep the log (entries you added stay in it); if you're the only member, the household and its log are deleted too.

Can't use the app? Email support@swaddly.app from the address you sign in with, and we'll delete your account within 30 days.

Children

Swaddly is for parents and caregivers. The log is information parents enter about their baby; the app isn't meant to be used by children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers. Access to a household's data is limited to its members by the database's security rules. Sign-in codes are stored only as one-way hashes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Most of this you can do in the app; for anything else, email support@swaddly.app.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
